Arsenal Football Club was founded in 1886 and is the first Southern soccer club to have joined the English Football league. Also nicknamed The Gunners, Arsenal is without doubt one of the most triumphant football teams in English football. Based in Holloway, London, they are credited with thirteen First Division and Premier League titles and ten FA Cups.

In addition to their many glories Arsenal is the only Premier League soccer team to have completed a season unbeaten in 2003-04 and currently hold the record for the longest uninterrupted period in the English top flight. They also became the very first London football club to reach an UEFA Champions League Final.

The 1990’s and 2000’s saw particular success come to Arsenal under the management of Arsene Wenger, who joined the club in 1996. Under his watchful eyes Arsenal went on to win their second and third league and cup double 97-98 and 2001-02. Wenger has brought the club a new training regime along with high class foreign players, all in all putting together the team which has been called invincible.

In 2006 Arsenal moved to their new home ground Emirates Stadium from their beloved Highbury due to an increased fan based and the need to adopt a bigger and better club base. They are nearby their long time rivals Tottenham Hotspur but have many other London based football clubs against whom they have clashed on several occasions.

With a huge fan base, new stadium and fantastic history of wins and titles it is no surprise that Arsenal is the third richest football club in the world with an estimated value in excess of £500 million.
