Is Nicklas Bendtner Set to Be One of the Greatest?

Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendter has his sights set on being one of the best strikers in the world. The young Danish international arrived at Arsenal at the tender age of 16 when he played in the youth team. He made it to the first team in 2007 and fought hard to guarantee himself a regular place.

Last season Bendtner scored an astonishing 15 times from just 27 starts proving quite an achievement for such a young player. At just 21 years old he has his whole football career in front of him but has done pretty well so far when it comes to gaining attention, recognition and footballing respect.

Despite receiving several bouts of criticism from fans at home at the Emirates Stadium for some of his playing performances he has always had the firm support of club manager Wenger. One of his qualities that has made him stand out is his ambition to improve and be considered as one of the all time greatest. Already his game has shown some favourable changes for the better, particularly since Emmanuel Adebayor left for Manchester City. A regular fixture for the Danish International squad he was even named as Denmark’s Player of the Year.

In an interview with the press Bendtner said, "I had three aims this year – to get into the Arsenal team, qualify for the World Cup and to be Player of the Year. I have achieved them all.”

Just how great Nicklas Bendtner goes on to be remains to be seen, but one thing for sure is that he has the skill, determination, ambition and of course youth well and truly on his side.
